Wicker Park's dining scene gets a fresh wave this week with three new restaurants opening their doors, signaling continued appetite for the neighborhood's food corridor despite a tough few years post-pandemic.

First up is Kuma's Corner offshoot "Kuma's Too" at Milwaukee and North, serving their legendary heavy metal-themed burgers in an expanded format with an outdoor patio. Next is Parachute alum BJ Lieberman's new venture "Aster," a Mediterranean small plates concept on Damen Avenue with a 40-seat dining room and wood-fired oven.

Rounding out the week is "Bungalow," a neighborhood breakfast-and-lunch spot from Chicago hospitality group Lettuce Entertain You, bringing all-day eggs Benedict, avocado toast variations, and locally roasted coffee to the corner of North and Wolcott.

All three spots are already booking up. Aster has reservations running two weeks out on Resy as of press time.
